Lynchburg Stained Glass was commissioned to restore the 10-ft diameter altar rose at at First Presbyterian in Shreveport, LA. Restoration included re-leading of the stained-glass window and replacement of the rotten wood frame (see image below).
LSG’s craftsmen then fabricated a new wood frame using African Sepele, a wood chosen for its color, grain, strength, and rot resistance. The photos below show the fine details crafted into the frame.
Once all facets of restoration were completed, the reinstallation took one week on-site.
