Project Notes
Significant “bowing” in the existing wooden frame resulted in leaking and decay, which required it to be replaced. The existing stained glass and wooden frame are removed (see photos below) to allow for installation of a new aluminum frame. The installation team from Lynchburg Stained Glass erected the frame in two sections; as always, the new frame was carefully engineered to meet local building code requirements for wind load. LSG artisans also reworked the stained glass slightly to accommodate the new aluminum frame, which closely replicates the delicate lines of the original original wood design.
