Project Notes
Lynchburg Stained Glass created this large triptych of windows for the east-facing entrance wall of the new St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Although crafted using the traditional leaded stained-glass method (with its tried-and true longevity tested throughout the centuries), these windows were designed to look like faceted glass, which have a distinct, mosaic-like quality. The best of both worlds! The composition of the center window enhances the risen Christ statue: custom bevels add to the expanding aura that surrounds the statue. All together, the windows depict the seven archangels alongside symbolism of the Holy Trinity, with the lower area of the center window also including images of the twelve apostles gazing up at the resurrected Savior.
