Site Factors to Consider
Most stained glass windows are easily accessible for purposes of assessment. For windows beyond our physical reach, modern drone technology helps us take a closer look. On larger installations, scaffolding and/or man-lift may be necessary to gain proper access for assessment. In this case there would be a nominal fee for the erection of scaffold and/or the rental of lift equipment. We may ask for church photos in advance of our visit to help determine those needs.
Are the stained glass windows difficult to access due to height? Is access complicated by storm covering on the exterior? Is the ground beneath the windows flat or sloped, sidewalk or busy street? Do aerial powerline complicate the exterior access? On the interior, is the floor beneath the window(s) clear of obstacles such as pew or steps. Is the stained glass installed into steel frames, stone frames, or wood frames? Are new aluminum frames necessary? Does the stained glass remove from the interior or the exterior side of the window?
